OPEN CALLS
19 Jan - 15 Mar 2026
The first Artistic Residency programme of the year involves the selection of three artists or researchers in three distinct periods: May/June, July and August.
Each selected resident will be entitled to a stay of up to three weeks, with exclusive use of Casa Mísia, a charming apartment of approximately 140 m². The 18th-century building is located in the historic centre of Lisbon, in one of the city's most vibrant cultural areas.
The resident is given total freedom to enjoy the residency at their own pace. In tribute to Mísia and her legacy, the House remains exactly as the fado singer left it, filled with her personal belongings. One of the house's treasures is her personal library, with works from various fields of knowledge. The collection is an invitation to research and immersion in the cultural universe of one of the greatest voices in Portuguese music.
Since its launch 15 months ago, the KEF Portugal Artistic Residency programme has already benefited around 20 artists or researchers.
Conditions
The Artistic Residency is open to all creators and researchers, Portuguese or foreign, whether or not they reside in Portugal.
The maintenance of the space is covered by the programme. All other costs (food, transport, materials, etc.) will be the sole responsibility of the resident.
The resident must provide personal accident insurance, valid for the duration of the residency, among other conditions established by a contract to be signed by both parties.
The programme provides the possibility of presenting the work developed during the residency to the local community. If it is of interest, the resident may lead a workshop for a minimum number of participants, according to the terms established by KEF.

Applications must be submitted by 15 March 2026.
