Call for the first Artistic Residency of 2025

In 2025, KEF is extending its Artistic Residency programme from 2 to 3 weeks. The first Residency of the year will host an artist from any field of expression from 1 to 22 April. During this period, the selected artist will benefit from exclusive use of Casa Mísia, a charming apartment of approximately 140 square metres in an 18th-century building, located in Lisbon's historic centre, in one of the city's most vibrant areas.

The resident will have total freedom to use the time according to their own pace. They will also have access to Mísia's personal library, with works in various fields of knowledge. The collection is an invitation to research and also to immersion in the cultural universe of one of the greatest voices in Portuguese music.

Conditions

The Artistic Residency is open to all creators, Portuguese or foreign, whether or not they reside in Portugal.

The use of the space is fully covered by the programme. All other costs (food, transport, materials, etc.) will be the sole responsibility of the resident artist.

The resident must provide personal accident insurance valid for the residency period, among other conditions established in a contract to be signed by the parties.

The programme includes the possibility of a presentation of the work developed during the residency to the local community. If it is also of interest, the resident may hold a workshop for a minimum group of participants, according to the terms established by KEF.

Applications

Applications must be submitted by 28 February 2025.

Only applications (in Portuguese or English) submitted via email (info@kefoundation.eu) will be evaluated, including the candidate's CV, a proposal letter, a detailed project description and a development timeline. The proposals will be evaluated by the KEF team, who will communicate the result by 6 March.
