The duo of Dagoberto Linhares (guitar) and Raphael Bougy (cello) present the concert Musique du Monde. The programme includes works by Vivaldi, Fauré, Piazzolla, Villa-Lobos and Manuel de Falla.
Dagoberto Linhares began his guitar studies at the age of 9. He graduated in 1973 with the Virtuosité prize at the Geneva Conservatory. At the same time, he was appointed professor at the Fribourg Conservatory. His awards include the Association of Swiss Musicians Prize. Since his debut in 1974 at Wigmore Hall in London, Dagoberto has been invited to perform at the world's leading music festivals. He has performed as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician throughout Europe, the USA and the Far East. Critics have written: “With his powerful technique, he is perfectly capable of controlling both the nature of his expressive interpretations and the exact silence required between pieces."
After a degree in musicology, Raphael Bougy completed his Master's at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Marie Hallynck with “high distinction” in 2020. He has been awarded prizes in harmony, counterpoint and fugue (Master of Writing). He is currently a cello teacher at the Vincennes Conservatory. His musical activity encompasses work as a soloist, chamber musician and with orchestras.
