Ari Doeser is the Secretary of the Kees Eijrond Foundation.

He worked for the Royal Booksellers Association in the Netherlands for 25 years, first as a legal advisor and later as Director. He is a co-initiator of the Dutch Fixed Book Price Act.

He is one of the founders of Het Literatuurhuis (House of Literature) in Utrecht, an association that organises literary events, festivals, and productions, including the Night of Poetry, the International Literature Festival Utrecht, and the NK Poetry Slam. During his studies, he worked at night at the theatre in Utrecht. At the age of 20, he co-founded the Utrecht Playwrights Project.

He holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Law from Utrecht University.
